Who are we and what do we offer?

Upper Mary Valley Care is a local community service aimed at supporting and assisting frail aged people; younger people with a disability and carers to remain in their homes and in their communities. The service achieves this through providing:

  • domestic assistance in the home
  • transport to and from medical appointments
  • personal care
  • respite services in the home
  • social support activities
  • shopping support
  • allied health referral and information
  • Meals on Wheels delivery 5 days a week
  • Community Aged Care Packages
What geographical area do we cover?

Upper Mary Valley Care covers a large geographical area including the communities of Conondale, Cambroon, Kenilworth, Belli Park , Obi Obi, Kidaman Creek, Brooloo and Imbil.

Who are our staff and volunteers?

Our dedicated staff are trained in Aged Care, other related disciplines and receive ongoing mandatory training in a range of areas including First Aid, Workplace Health and Safety and Confidentiality. Our Community Support Workers provide practical support and assistance to clients in their homes and their communities. We have kitchen staff who prepare nutritious and delicious meals 5 days a week for both centre based activities and for our Meals on Wheels clients. We have volunteers who transport clients to appointments and deliver meals.

How do I access these services?

Give us a call or, with your permission, anyone concerned, such as doctors, nurses, social workers, community organisations, relatives or friends can make enquiries on your behalf.

An independent assessment will be made before registration with the programme. The needs of each client will differ. Upper Mary Valley Care is very flexible and can design a care plan around your individual needs.

What is the cost?

A set fee for each service will be charged. No one will be refused services on the basis of inability to pay.

Upper Mary Valley Care is committed to providing a quality service and welcomes input from clients, carers, relatives and others on how to improve our services.
