Tourist Information

Kenilworth is in Maroochy Shire, on the Sunshine Cost Hinterland, east of the Conondale National Park (part of which forms the Kenilworth State Forest). Maroochy Shire has an area of 1,157 square kilometers and a population of 112,000. Kenilworth Town itself has a population of about 300.

Getting Here

By car: For the most direct route from Brisbane, take the Bruce Highway to the Landsborough turnoff (left) - this should take about 1 hour - carry on through Landsborough, Maleny and Conondale to Kenilworth - this will take you another hour. Alternatively, carry on up the Bruce Highway to Eumundi - this should take an hour and a half - then take the next turn left after Eumundi, following the Kenilworth Tourist Drive, through Belli Park to Kenilworth - this will take less than half an hour.

Travelling from the Gold Coast will take an additional hour and from Toowoomba it will take about two and a quarter hours to get to Maleny and a further three quarters to Kenilworth.

By bus/coach: There are daily services between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.

By train: There are regular Queensland Rail electric train services from Brisbane to the region stopping at Beerburrum, Glasshouse Mountains, Beerwah, Landsborough, Mooloolah, Eudlo, Palmwoods, Woombye, Nambour, Yandina, Eumundi, Cooroy, Pomona, Cooran, Traveston, and Gympie North. By air: Brisbane Airport is the domestic and international gateway to Queensland. Domestic flights to the Sunshine Coast airport by Qantas operate daily. Buses and taxis are available at the airport. Bus connections are to Noosa, Coolum, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba and Caloundra. There is also an Airport Bus service which is door to door between Sunshine Coast Airport and your accommodation or home.
