Regular Events in Kenilworth

Kenilworth hosts a number of regular events which bring visitors to our town. Kenilworth Celebrates! is a major series of events, held in late September each year, and co-ordinated with events held by the other towns of the upper Mary Valley.


    

Kenilworth Cheese, Wine and Food Fest

Easter Saturday 7am-4pm

The fabulous Kenilworth Cheese, Wine and Food Festival – your chance to indulge in all the best bounty of the renowned Mary Valley. Join us on Easter Saturday 19th April 2014 for a memorable farm-to-fork feast. This will be a brilliant day for the whole family.

Centered in the Town Park, with activities around the Town.

Kenilworth Chook Chase

July 27/28, 2013

Kenilworth Chook Chase is a non-competitive off-road trail ride through state forest, open to fully licensed riders on registered motorcycles only.

Always held on the third Saturday in September - in 2013 this will be the 21st.

Kenilworth Celebrates!

The Kenilworth Celebrates! Festival is presented by the Kenilworth Arts Council Inc. and is held over the week beginning on the 4th Saturday in September - in 2013 from Saturday 28th September to Saturday 5th October.

Kenilworth Celebrates! is a festival of the arts, both visual and performing. The 2013 festival will include the sixteenth Annual Art Exhibition with top-class paintings, sculpture and pottery as well as the prestigious $17,500 acquisitive Kenilworth Painting Prize. Everything will be exhibited at Kenilworth Public Hall and other Town venues, from 9am to 5pm daily. There will also be an exhibition by a local artist at the St John Bosco Church. All art is for sale.

Other events include an Alfresco Poets' Breakfast at 8am on Saturday. The Sunshine Coast Symphony Orchestra, bands and street performers will entertain over the weekend. Artist's Workshops will run from Monday 30th September to Friday 4th October (early booking advised).

Belli Hall Old Time Dances

We have 10 Old Time Dances a year in the Belli Community Hall. In 2013 these are on 2nd February, 9th March, 20th April, 1st June, 6th July, 8th September, 3rd August, 7th September, 12th October, 16th November and 31st December (New Year's Eve).

Old time dance only - starting 7.30pm - alcohol free venue.

Enjoy a night of old time dancing with music supplied by Sunshine Swing Band featuring Rex Eggmolesse. A great country supper with tea and coffee is provided, soft drinks on sale, raffle, lucky door prize and lucky spots.
