DESCRIPTION:	First Response became active on 1 May 2002 after it was established that the community required emergency medical services (the ambulance being at least 40 minutes away). The First Response is comprised of a group of volunteers who are trained in Advance First Aid, Advanced Resusitation Techniques and Semi Automatic Defribulation. The Qld Ambulance communications centre activate the response team on call when they receive a 000 call from the Kenilworth area.
